Hope Squad is a peer-to-peer support program designed to promote mental health and well-being. It empowers students or community members to act as "Hope Ambassadors," providing emotional support, recognizing signs of distress, and encouraging individuals to seek help when needed. By fostering an environment of care and understanding, Hope Squad helps reduce stigma around mental health and creates a supportive community for those in need.

The Mankato East Hope Squad and Mankato East Mental Health Club are hosting Hope Week April 21st - April 25th. Please see the attached image for dress up days.

Sunset Serenity is an event hosted by Mankato East Mental Health Club to bring awareness to Mental Health issues, provide resources for people who may be struggling, and remind our students that they are not alone. The event is being hosted by Radio Mankato.

On April 16th, our 10th graders will be attending the Career Expo at the Mayo Clinic Health System Event Center. East 10th graders will be attending the Expo in the afternoon (leaving at 11:45am and returning midway through 6th period at 2:20pm) The purpose of this event is to provide students the opportunity to interact with area business and industry experts and to participate in hands-on experiences that demonstrate the skills, strengths, tools, tasks, and traits used in specific careers to foster an awareness of the variety of career options in Greater Mankato and the region and understand what each career involves.

A pre-lesson will be delivered in our 10th grade Social Studies classrooms. This pre-lesson will help students identify where their current interests, skills, and talents are, and to use this information during the event to be purposeful and provide a frame to their exploration time.

The School Board has voted to adjust the school calendar for the 2025-2026 school year. The updated calendar is attached.

Mankato East High School Back to School Days will be on August 13th and August 14th. The Open House will be Wednesday, August 20th in the evening.
