Cypress Springs High School
October 2024
Dear Cypress Springs Families,
What a great beginning! Thank you for your continued support of your scholar and our school! Because of your support we have had a great start. Our scholars are thriving - in the classroom, in the hallways, and in their extra-curricular activities.
We asked you to help us improve our attendance, and we are off to a great start! Our goal is to reach at least 90% on time attendance each day (each grade level) and to exceed 92% overall attendance each week! So far, our scholars have done an exceptional job! Thank you for making the adjustments to ensure they arrive to school on time each day AND thank you for reminding them to be on time to each class each day. Our teachers have worked hard to make sure they are providing high-quality, engaging instruction from bell to bell. Thank you for helping us to remind our scholars that when you miss school - you miss out!
Homecoming week was a great success! Not only did our scholars show up all week and participate in all the great activities, they showed up in the classroom and worked hard academically. Our athletic teams are thriving, we are having a great year and there is so much more to come.
We are sharing just a few of our successes from last year (2023-24) in this section. Stay tuned for more to come!!
Please remember to read the newsletter all the way to the bottom as we have another great Alumni Spotlight this month!!
See you soon!

Panther Wellness
In support of National Suicide Prevention Month, we are committed to raising awareness and providing valuable resources to our community. It’s important to recognize the signs, offer support, and know where to find help. Together, we can create a safer, more supportive environment for everyone. This newsletter includes helpful information, warning signs, and resources for both students and parents to stay informed and connected. Let’s work together to prevent suicide and support those who may be struggling.
Stay Healthy
As we move through the school year, it’s important to stay mindful of our health. By taking small steps like cleaning surfaces and practicing good hygiene, we can help prevent the spread of germs and keep our school community healthy.
