Canvas: Using MediaSpace

Super convenient and easy! Always record your Zoom meetings to the cloud. The video will automatically appear in My Media in your Canvas course navigation. No need to save it to a desktop and take away valuable space. Videos in the clouds are your personal repository and will not be shared until you permit it. When using ZOOM. Click "Record to the Cloud" ⛅️
Videos...
- are automatically swept into Canvas Media space (located in the course navigation)
- are in the "clouds"
- will not be deleted
- can easily be shared with students

CANVAS: How do I share my Zoom Recordings?
The link feature for a video does not appear in the "My Media" in Canvas (only HTML code). To obtain the video link follow the below 7 SIMPLE Steps:
- Go directly to nyit.mediaspace.kaltura.com
- Click on tab "My Media - Find Your Videos Here!"
- Click on the video you would like a link for.
- Look right and click on "ACTIONS"
- Go to "Publish" and choose Publishing Status: "Unlisted" and then "SAVE"
- Click on tab "Share" (beneath the video)
- Link 🔗 will appear - copy and paste to your course...or email a colleague.
NOTE: You can only share a link with a member of the New York Tech community!
