Please remember that if your child is going to be absent from school you should call school before 8.30am to report this. If they are off for multiple days, you should call school each day that they are off. If your child is suffering from something such as a cough or cold we do recommend that you send them into school and see how they get on. It is amazing how many children perk up once they get into school and we can assure you that if it becomes evident that a child should not be in school we will make contact with yourself as parent/carer.

As a school, our attendance has greatly improved over the last year and this is all thanks to you and the effort you are making in getting your children into school every day.

This week we have been celebrating our Art Stars across school!

Year 1

Dennis is very creative and loves to draw. Well done Dennis!

Kyan in 1JB. His drawings are fantastic! They are so detailed and he takes time and care with all of his artwork.

Year 2

Ana for being creative and always using her imagination when drawing.

Yongyi for always taking her time and producing fantastic artwork.

Year 3

Devon for his love for Art and his creativity.

Year 4

Bella for always being so creative with lots of different media.

Harley for his wide range of skills and love for Art.

Year 5

In 5JW, our art star is Daniel. He has created some amazing art this year. Well done!

5GBs art star is Tia for always showing enthusiasm and a passion for art.

Year 6

Phratchaya for being an incredible artist who loves to share his talent with others.

Lexie for being an amazing artist. She loves to share her work with others and takes lots of care with her work.

Our word of the week is 'belong'. We have been reflecting on what this means in school and how it feels to 'belong' at school. We have thought about how we can make people feel welcome in different situations and how we can make everyone feel like they belong in our school.

In the Bible, there is a story about someone called Zacchaeus. He felt like he didn’t belong: because of his actions, nobody liked him, and he had no friends. Then, one day, his life changed completely. The story of Zacchaeus found in Luke 19.1-1.
