Family 2-3 through 2-7

Life at Harmony Middle was busy last week and it continues this week. We are looking forward to upcoming basketball games and our February 7th Sweetheart Dance. I'd like to congratulate some of our Ag students for their success this past week in Okeechobee and I'd like to thank our PBIS Ambassadors for the support and help with the PBIS Game Day celebration. Please see below for reminders and upcoming events.

One of the first items that I was asked by students as I began here at Harmony was "Can we wear Crocs?". Guessing that it was a loaded question I quickly answered, "Not at this time" and then spoke with our staff and SAC committee about our current dress code.

Let me start by saying that I am always open to hearing student and family concerns and requests however, I do not feel it is in our school's best interest for me to arrive and then immediately change our expectations, norms or culture. For that reason, I want to reiterate that our dress code has not changed, and students are still not permitted to wear items such as Crocs, pull-overs or sweatpants.

Please speak with your students so they are aware of the expectations and to avoid any kind of issues in the morning. Thank you for your support and understanding.

A big shout out to some of our FFA/Ag students!

Our chapter was represented by two teams this past week:

Horse Judging Team: Kenley, Hope, Lily and Callie earned 1st place overall! Lily and Hope earned 1st and 2nd Place High Individual awards respectively

Livestock Judging Team: Brodie, Jason, Reese, Corbyn and Luke

Ms. Brown remarked how both groups put in a tremendous effort, learned valuable skills, and represented our school with pride.
