Town Challenge
SATURDAY, MARCH 22nd AT 7:00 P.M. (Snow date will be March 23rd)
The Weathersfield Proctor Library will have their 11th ANNUAL TOWN CHALLENGE. Local organizations are invited to participate, and we certainly hope you’ll join in the fun. The trivia topics will cover Weathersfield History, Geography, Spelling, Current Events/Sports, Literature and Music.
As you know, in addition to this being an exciting event for the whole community, it is a fundraiser for the Weathersfield Proctor Library. We are hopeful the businesses within our community will join in with donations for this much-anticipated event.
Of course, we also encourage each team member to collect additional support (family members, neighbors and/or friends), and there will be a prize for the team that raises the most money. A few years ago, we also offered door prizes (local products) to members of our audience and will again this year. And don’t forget the coveted prize for the team that displays the most TEAM SPIRIT!

Leadership Opportunity for Students
The Coalition for Transforming School Safety has come together to offer youth-led workshops to Empower Youth to address Hazing, Harassment, and Bullying. The training will take place at our Statewide Youth Gathering on April 11th from 9:00am to 3:00pm at Hulbert Outdoor Center in Fairlee. We welcome students directly impacted by bullying and harassment as well as allies who want to make change on this issue in their school. We are hoping that 20 students will join us in this PAID leadership opportunity. Participants will be compensated $100 for attending the training and will receive $200 in addition to support presentations back at their school. Applications are due March 1st. And we hope to let groups know of their acceptance by March 11th.

The 802 Smiles program offers dental visits at school. Lisa Watson, Registered Dental Hygienist, is the school hygienist from NorthStar Health's Ludlow Dental Clinic. She will be at Weathersfield School in the upcoming weeks. Dental visits are for students who have no established dental home, and for students who have not had a routine dental cleaning in over a year.
If you would like the hygienist to see your student(s) at school, please let the school nurse know by emailing Grace.Knight@wsesu, and fill out the attached paperwork. More Information
