PRINCIPAL'S NOTE
Dear Valley Creek Parents,
We wanted to take a moment to thank you for another wonderful week here at school. This week, we had the privilege of celebrating our incredible counselor, Mrs. Jones, who does so much for our staff and students. Her dedication and support make a tremendous difference, and we are grateful for all she does to create a positive environment at Valley Creek.
Looking ahead, we’re excited for next week’s Annual Talent Show and the special Valentine’s Day activities shared by our teachers. Be sure to check the communication sent out for more details!
As always, please take a moment to check out the Cougargram for all of our upcoming events. We look forward to continuing this amazing journey with you and your students.
Thank you for your continued support!
Warm regards,
Dr. Ebonee King
Principal
NEWS FROM THE REGISTRAR
NEWS FROM THE FRONT OFFICE
To help ensure a smooth dismissal process, if your child will be going home a DIFFERENT way than they usually do, please fill out our Dismissal Change Form that day. This form is always linked at the bottom of this newsletter under VCE Helpful Links.
The form will open at 8:00am each morning for dismissal changes and will close at 2:30pm each day. Please let us know before 2:30pm if you need to change the way your child will go home for that day.
Teachers are actively teaching during the day and will be notified by the front office of changes in dismissals for their students.
Change requests after 2:30pm cannot reliably be met and should be reserved for emergencies only. This can cause a delay in your student's dismissal or require you to visit the front office to receive them.
If you are needing to permanently change your student's dismissal plan please contact your student's teacher.
This information is always linked for reference in our newsletter under VCE Arrival and Dismissal Information under our VCE Helpful Links.
NEWS FROM THE NURSE
Cold and flu season is here!
Please remind your student to cover their coughs and wash their hands often. Please do not send medications (including cough drops) to school with your child. If your student becomes ill, please keep them home until they have been fever-free for at least 24 hours and they are feeling better.
Let’s all do our best to keep everyone safe and healthy! Please feel free to call the VCE clinic if
you have any questions!

Important note to Visitor/ Volunteers
As we approach Valentine’s Day, we are excited to celebrate this special occasion with our students! To ensure a fun and organized celebration, we would like to communicate a few expectations and guidelines regarding parties. You will receive a grade- level email outlining specific guidelines for your student's grade and parties. Also, to maintain a safe and smooth celebration, this Valentine’s Day party will be a time spent exclusively with teachers and students. Unfortunately, we are unable to invite visitors or volunteers to attend the party this year. We appreciate your understanding as we work to ensure all students have a fun and focused celebration.
