Hello Leopard Families-

We were delighted to connect with our Leopard families at last Thursday's Meet the Teacher event. The joyful smiles, enthusiastic conversations, and warm reception of both new and returning Leopards made for a truly special kickoff to the 2024-2025 school year. A heartfelt thank you to our dedicated England staff and PTA for their hard work in ensuring we were ready to welcome over 1,000 students!

If you weren't able to join us, no worries! Please don't hesitate to reach out to your child's teacher for any information you need to ensure a smooth start. We also noticed that some welcome emails were returned as undeliverable. If you did not receive your welcome email, please contact your child's teacher to confirm that we have the correct email address on file.

We believe that strong communication is a key component of our partnership. To stay connected and informed, please check your inbox each weekend for my weekly update, along with updates from your child's teacher. All weekly emails are archived under Principal Updates on our website for your reference at any time. Additionally, please refer to the England calendar on our website to mark the dates for upcoming events.

First Day Reminders:

We are thrilled to welcome back all Leopards on Tuesday, August 13th, at 7:35 AM. Doors will open at 7:15 AM. Please keep in mind that traffic during the first week can be a bit heavy, so be prepared for longer lines. We truly appreciate your patience during this time.

For safety and security reasons, the building will be open only to students on the first day. Parents who are walking or biking to school are kindly asked to drop off their children at the front walkway, where a staff member will ensure they safely reach their classrooms.

Please be sure to communicate with your child's teacher about how your student will be going home on the first day. Labeling all items is also helpful to keep belongings with their owners. Don’t forget to pack a healthy snack, and either pack a lunch or ensure your student is ready to order one.

The office will be very busy on the first day, with our priority being getting all students to their classes. We will be happy to answer questions and assist with any parent/guardian needs once students are settled.

For arrival, the carline is available at both the front and back of the school. However, walkers and bikers may only enter through the front entrance. If you are using the carline for dismissal, please ensure that your child's family number placard is clearly displayed. This will help expedite the dismissal process for everyone. These placards were emailed to all families, and hard copies were distributed at Meet the Teacher. If your family did not receive one, please reach out to your child's teacher or our front office—we're happy to assist.

Please note that Pre-K, Kindergarten, and First Grade car riders are dismissed at the back of the school, while Second, Third, Fourth, and Fifth Grade car riders are dismissed at the front. All walkers and bike riders will be dismissed at the front of the school.
