Important Information
Lifetime Activities for 4th - 6th Grade Students
This year 4th through 6th grade will be participating in our Lifetime Activities Program. Students will be going with their grade level to skate at Giorgetti Skating Rink, rock climbing at Green Mountain Rock Climbing center, and bowling at Bowlerama. The dates for each location are listed below. PTO is funding these activities therefore there is no cost for students to participate. February 11th will be our snow day, if needed. Students will be leaving at 12:00 pm and returning at 2:00 pm by bus. A BIG THANK YOU to the PTO for supporting this program financially!
Permission Slips: If you have not returned your child's permission slip, please do ASAP. Thank you!
Rock Climbing Waiver: All 4th through 6th grade students must have a signed waiver for Rock Climbing, please use the link below to complete this online.
Volunteers: We are looking for 4th through 6th grade parent volunteers to join us at any of the venues for each Tuesday. We need help tying skates & bowling shoes and we need belayers for the rock climbing gym. If you are able and willing to volunteer please contact Mrs. Tate at ctate@rnesu.org or your child's classroom teacher. Thank you!

Chaperone Guidelines - Sign-up to Be a Volunteer!
It is the time of year where we begin to think about field trips. If you are planning on chaperoning a field trip or volunteering at Lothrop throughout the year, you are required to complete a background check, fingerprinting, and ID scanning through Raptor, our Supervisory Union security system. Due to the amount of time it takes to complete the full process, we are asking parents/guardians to begin the process now. Appointments for fingerprinting fill up fast and we want to ensure that everyone has an opportunity to attend field trips and take part in volunteering for school events with their students. If you are interested in chaperoning or want to check and see if the background check you completed in the past is still valid, please reach out to Sara Eddy at seddy@rnesu.org or call the office at 802-483-2242.
