Study Group: Teaching Writing in the Age of AI
Join us as we read, write about and discuss the implications of AI and Large Language Models in our classrooms. No advance prep is needed -- we will provide the reading and dinner at Minsky's on 51st & Main. Click here to add google calendar invite . Opportunities for Students
Scholastic Writing Awards
Students in grades 7-12 can enter writing in more than 10 different categories, including flash fiction, poetry, and critical essay. The Scholastic Writing Awards recognizes the creative work of teens with scholarship opportunities; gold, silver and honorable mention awards; and local and national awards ceremonies.
The contest is open September 1 - January 6.

KC Kids Unite
An opportunity to connect classrooms grades 3-5 in writing, reading and art. Information and application can be found here.
Middle School Writing Conference
May 14, 9am - 1pm
