Attendance Updates
As we dive into the 2025 school year, we have some exciting news about our brand new attendance initiative for the high school JROTC program aimed at boosting those attendance numbers! Our big goal is to inspire our students to show up consistently for the next 48 days. The challenge kicked off the week of January 13, 2025, and wraps up on March 28, 2025. Want a sweet backpack? Just keep that attendance rate at a sparkling 97%! We'll be checking attendance all day long, not just during the usual Average Daily Attendance (ADA) period. So, rally your students to keep tabs on their attendance by checking their portal regularly! Let’s make this year a fantastic one!
But wait, there's even more exciting news! To boost school spirit and make sure our students are showing up, Hard Rock Cafe is rolling out a fantastic deal: a FREE kids meal for all elementary students aged 12 and under who rock an attendance rate of 90% or higher during the 3rd Six Weeks!
That's not all! Schools will also get to hand out shiny Perfect Attendance Certificates to celebrate these awesome achievements. It's a fun way to recognize those who are dedicated to their education! This initiative will continue and the awards will be handed out at the end of the cycle. So, let’s make every day count and bring the fun back to school!
We are thrilled to share that over the past six weeks, a total of 5,043 elementary students have successfully met the attendance initiative and will be honored with the certificate shown.

Make Mental Wellness a Priority in 2025
This is the time to recognize the importance of attending to our mental health, especially seeing the vast prevalence of mental health issues and disorders that exist in our world.
National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) website illustrate the following:
1 in 20 U.S. adults experience serious mental illness each year.
1 in 6 U.S. youth aged 6-17 experience a mental health disorder each year.
50% of all lifetime mental illness begins by age 14, and 75% by age 24.
Suicide is the 2nd leading cause of death among people aged 10-34
New Year’s resolutions often focus on physical fitness, but we should also keep in mind that mental health is just as important as physical health in our life.
Maintaining mental wellness is not easy, it is crucial.
Mental Wellness Awareness month is a reminder to take better care of your mental health, release stress and become happier, and improve the quality of your relationships.
