My name is Zach Wigle, and I will be serving as the principal of Solon High School starting TODAY! I want you all to know how excited I am to be a part of this amazing staff. Opportunities like this don't come around often, and believe me when I say we will be making the very most of it . I have spent the last 3 years here in Solon as the district Activities Director, Intermediate school principal and will now be back at the high school. Prior to our move here, I was a high school principal in Keokuk for three years. Before moving to Keokuk, I spent eight years in Ottumwa as a teacher, coach, and administrator. I am excited to get back to secondary level and look forward to getting to know as many people as possible. I can’t wait to meet each of you and get the 2019-2020 school year started!
My educational philosophy is to create an environment that fosters mental, physical, and social development by emphasizing the importance of trust, cooperation, hard work, respect, and responsibility. I am an authentic person and will hold myself and others accountable. I pledge to show respect and demonstrate integrity in all that I do, and want you to know that I will do my best to serve your son or daughter to the best of my ability. We will expect the same out of every employee in our school. Students and teachers will be held accountable to do their very best every day.
