Welcome Back from Principal Dupuis
Welcome to the 2024-2025 school year at Spring Trail Elementary! I am honored to begin my second year at Spring Trail and my eighth year in this wonderful district. For those who don't know me, my name is Noelle Dupuis, and I am the proud principal of Spring Trail Elementary! This time last year, I was just beginning to familiarize myself with the Spring Trail community, its staff, and students. I had a lot to learn about the school, relying mostly on test scores and notes left for me. Over the past year, I've learned so much and come to realize that this school is truly the best in the district. I've observed our staff engage in professional development, critical thinking, and goal-setting, demonstrating a strong commitment to ensuring that 100% of our students succeed.
As we move into this next school year, our staff members are ready to help your children reach their fullest potential both academically and socially. Spring Trail Elementary is committed to fostering a diverse, supportive and engaging learning environment where every student will thrive. This year, we are focusing on several key areas to enhance the educational experience and ensure academic excellence for all of our students.
Goal Setting and School Improvement Planning
Our journey towards excellence begins with clear goals and a shared vision. This year, we will be encouraging our students to set personal and academic goals. Whether it’s mastering a new skill, improving in a particular subject, or enhancing social-emotional skills, we will support our students in identifying their aspirations and planning out the steps to help achieve them. Our staff are here to guide and support each student on their journey, ensuring they have the tools and encouragement needed to reach their goals.
As part of our School Improvement Planning, staff have also identified areas in which they can grow in their practice. We are focusing on collaborative goal-setting processes, where staff work together to share best practices, develop innovative instructional strategies, and engage in continuous professional development. By setting high standards for themselves and each other, our staff show their dedication in creating an inspiring and effective learning environment for all students.
Embracing Rigorous Learning
We are dedicated to providing our students with challenging and meaningful learning experiences. Our staff members are committed to designing rigorous tasks that encourage critical thinking, problem-solving, and creativity. These tasks are aligned with our curriculum standards and are crafted to push our students to reach their fullest potential. Additionally, the tasks provided will engage students in interdependent learning opportunities, where they will work collaboratively on projects, share diverse perspectives, and learn the importance of teamwork. By challenging our students, we believe we are preparing them not only for academic success but also for the complexities of the world beyond our school.
Community Engagement and Partnerships
We recognize a child's education is a partnership between the school, families, and the community. We are committed to building strong relationships with all our stakeholders and invite you to be active participants in your child's education. Whether through volunteering, attending school events, or joining our Parent-Teacher Association, your involvement is invaluable to our success.
As we begin this new school year, I am filled with optimism and enthusiasm for what we will achieve together. Our collective efforts will ensure that Spring Trail Elementary continues to be a place where students love to learn and grow. Thank you for your ongoing support and dedication to our school community.
Warm regards,
Mrs. Dupuis
Welcome Back from Assistant Principal Krause
Hello Spring Trail Elementary Families! My name is Jason Krause. I am the Assistant Principal at Spring Trail Elementary School! I look forward to working with each and every one of your children. As an educator and administrator, I have always believed that we strive to provide the best education for our students and find ways to improve and advocate for kids. I have learned so much from all my experiences, and I look forward to collaborating and building relationships with all of you. This is my 19th year in education! I have taught all age levels in education, but my passion has always been working with elementary students. This will be my fourth year as an Assistant Principal and my third year working together with Mrs. Dupuis in U-46 School District.
I live in McHenry with my wife Jennifer and our three boys Jayce (11), Jaxon (7), JJ (6), and our shepherd Amulet. Family is very important to me, so when I am not here at Spring Trail I am having fun with them. Some of my favorite things to do during my free time are cooking, spending time in the pool, and watching comedies and Marvel movies! I also love traveling and watching my favorite sports teams, the Chicago White Sox and Chicago Bears!
This summer I put my handyman skills to work and remodeled my entire living and had a great time spending the mornings with my father completing this project. During the rest of the afternoons, summer was spent laying out in the pool, traveling throughout the state of Illinois, going to Six Flags, and enjoying some great new food places!
Please know that if you ever need assistance or have any questions, please feel free to contact me at any time. Together, we're going to have an exciting year here at Spring Trail as we go “Under the Sea and Dive Into Learning!”! Let’s Go Tigers; Hear Us Roar! Thank you so much, Mr. Jason Krause Assistant Principal

Kindergarten Bus Safety
Save the Date - August 7th from 8am - 9am
To our Kindergarten families, we would love for you to join us at Spring Trail Elementary to learn about bus safety. We believe it is important for our students to be introduced to the school bus and the safety measures we have in place prior to the start of the school year. Students who participate will be instructed on how to line up before entering the bus, using the handrail, and expectations while on the bus.
If you are unable to join us, please don't worry as we will discuss with our students the safety measures for the bus.
School Supplies
U-46 will provide school supplies for students entering kindergarten through 6th grade, as it did for the last several school years. Families will just need to provide a backpack and a water bottle. All of our students will receive their supplies once classes get underway.
