Help Our Senior Neighbors in Sandwich!
Once again students in Mrs. MacDonald's 7Cs class at Oak Ridge will be volunteering to help clean up the yards of our elderly neighbors! If you and our child(ren) and/or their friends would like to be part of this meaningful community service, please scan the code above, click on above picture, or click this link. Please fill in the linked form to register your raking team of adults and students. You will be added to the volunteer list. Mrs. MacDonald will receive a list of houses to be raked from the Sandwich Council on Aging. She will reach out with your assigned address by November 13th.
New National Honor Society Inductees
Thursday evening seven outstanding Sandwich Middle High School students were inducted into the Glass Chapter of the National Honor Society. The inductees were seniors Alivia Barnes, Lily Guarino, Amber Hayes, Will Lodge, Geciane Sales, Luke Steele, and Lily Vacher. All of these students met the chapter's requirement for minimum GPA but also completed a rigorous application process to detail their many accomplishments in scholarship, leadership, service, and character, the four pillars of NHS membership. Congratulations to these fine students who bring so much to our community!

Veterans Day Speakers Requested
As is done each year, Kristin Randall MacDonald's students in the 7C's class at the Oak Ridge School learn about service and sacrifice from our community's veterans. If you are a veteran or a current military service member and would like to share your experiences with our students, please contact Kristin at kmacdonald@sandwich.k12.ma.us . There are 30-minute slots between 9:30 am and 2:00 pm available on Tuesday, November 12 and Wednesday, November 13.
