Message from Administration
It has been an AMAZING school year at LES, and it’s hard to believe it’s coming to a close! We would like to thank our parents, volunteers, PTA, partners, staff, and our students for all you do to make Lisbon an amazing community. We are looking forward to working this summer to plan for another great school year!
The LES school office will be open in the summer, but please remember there will be many times when only one person will be covering the office.
We are excited for our last week of school and celebrating our 5th graders as they leave us for Middle School.
Wishing you all a safe and joyful summer!
Warmly,
Mrs. Debra Anoff, Principal
Mr. Brad Scobie, Assistant Principal

The HCPSS Pre-K program is free to families; many locations are full-day. Families can submit a completed application to hcpss_pk@hcpss.org or their local elementary school. Gifted and Talented Education Program
Dear Families,
Many of your children participated in a Gifted and Talented Education Program Instructional Seminar with Mrs. O’Connor during this school year. To celebrate our time together and their new learning, enjoy viewing the slideshows posted at the bottom of your child’s grade-level Canvas home page.
Mr. Nath has shared projects and pictures of students hard at work in his classes via their Google Drive. They can access those by logging into hcpss.me and clicking on the GSUITE icon. The folders should be in their "Shared with Me" tab, or they can search NATH to find them.
It has been a pleasure working with your children this year! Enjoy!

2024-2025 Bus Service Registration
Parents/guardians whose children are eligible for bus transportation are asked to register to receive bus service each year to help the school system plan for student transportation needs. The transportation registration process will open at 9 a.m. Monday, April 8 through June 5, and will be completed online via HCPSS Connect Synergy. Registration must be done for each eligible child.
To be eligible for bus service, your child’s home address must be outside of a school’s walk zones. You can verify address eligibility in the HCPSS School Attendance Area Locator. After inputting your address, a window will appear that will indicate either bus or walk for each school level. Please note, the attendance area locator also includes a link for the bus stop locator, which is set for the current school year. Bus stop information for the 2024-2025 school year will be available in August.
You do not need to take any action if:
- Your child is not eligible for bus transportation
- Your child receives transportation as part of their Individualized Education Program (IEP) or 504 Plan, or
- Your child is a graduating senior
Details on bus transportation registration, including a guide to register and scenarios families may see when registering, can be found online.

Did You Move? Are You Moving?
According to HCPSS Policy 9000 - Student Residency, Eligibility, Enrollment, and Assignment, "A student attending a public school in Howard County will attend the designated school serving the school attendance area in which the parents have bona fide residence."
If you have moved or are moving soon, please notify us immediately. Please do not wait for us to find out through other means. We can assist you with transitioning to your child's new school. Whether it be another HCPSS school, a private school, or a school out of the HCPSS district, we are here to help. If you are transferring to another HCPSS school, our registrars will partner to make the transition as smooth as possible.
If you have an address change, please fill out the attached fillable Address Change Form below and email it back to us with your new deed or lease. This way, we can electronically verify your school district and update your new address on file. If you have any questions, contact our registrar, Mrs. Linda Drews at linda_drews@hcpss.org
It is very important for us to have the most accurate information about your residency.
Medication Pick-up
If your student has medication at school, it will need to be picked up by the end of the school year by a parent/guardian. Health room staff will be available during school hours (8:40am to 4pm) for medication pick up (except on June 5th and 14th, medication pick up will be between 8:40am and 1pm.) Any medication that is not picked up by 1pm on June 14th will be destroyed. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the health room at 410-313-5555.
Medication order forms for the 2024-25 school year will be sent home. Please remember they need to be completed after July 1st for the 2024-25 school year. Below is the link for HCPSS medication information at school and links for the forms if needed.

Glenwood Middle School PTSA
Calling all rising 5th grade parents ..
Glenwood Middle School eagerly awaits your student’s arrival in August. We have a very active, robust PTSA that follows in Lisbon’s footsteps of supporting our educators and creating a strong, connected community of students and families.
We hope you’ll join us in the fall! Stay on top of event announcements and news by following our Facebook page “Glenwood Middle PTSA.”
Look out for a "Parent Social" in August for our GMS parents and events for your students for 2024/2025 school year.
In the meantime, we are desperately seeing a Treasurer to join our executive board. You don’t necessarily need to be a “numbers person” to fulfill the duties. Just organized, understands budgets and competent with spreadsheets! You will have lots if support from current and past Board members.
To learn more or to throw your hat in the ring, please contact PTSA president Rebekah Noven at novenfamily@gmail.com. Thanks in advance!!
