We look forward to seeing you on Wednesday, September 28th!
Classroom Celebration Guidelines!
Next week you will receive an email from the health office letting you know the number of students with allergies in specific classrooms and what types of allergies are present. This way you can plan accordingly as you choose the snack for your child's celebration.
With this in mind please make every effort to support our initiative and choose a healthy option for our students to share at our birthday celebrations. While there are many snacks to choose from we have attached these links to help inform your choices...

Dear Parent/Guardian,
The New Jersey Department of Education School Health Services Guidelines require that the district Board of Education notify parents/guardians of the importance of obtaining physical examinations during the student's childhood.
The Westwood Regional Board of Education has adopted the policy of requesting these physicals be completed during early childhood (grades two); pre-adolescence (grade five); and adolescence (grade eight and ten). This physical examination must state what, if any, modifications are required for full participation in the school program.
The student medical examination must be conducted at the medical home of the student and a full report must be sent to the school. A medical home is defined by N.J.A.C. 6A: 16-2.2 as meaning a health care provider and that provider's practice site chosen by the student's parent or guardian for the provision of health care.
The Health History, Immunizations Update, and Physical Examination forms can be found on the Westwood Regional School District’s website: http://www.wwrsd.org/Page/6439
Should you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact the Health Office: (201) 664-9000 ext. 2 or email: anna.parke@wwrsd.org.
Sincerely,
Anna Parke, RN, BSN, CSN
