Why Do We Have a Spaghetti Dinner?
The Ed Clements Spaghetti Dinner is the Home and School Association's fundraiser for the year, the only one we do other than the Bike-A-Thon. To make this a successful event, we need donations for the raffle and the silent auction. We also need the children to help us with bussing tables and serving.
A flyer indicating what food donations are needed from each family is going home with students today. And Mrs. Gray sent out a form electronically for families to indicate what shift they would like to work on the day of the spaghetti dinner (Saturday, April 5).
The success of this fundraiser depends on an "all hands on deck" mentality and the realization that many hands make light work. If everyone pitches in, the burden is light and the event is fun for all. Thank you in advance for your help!
Why Is Classical Education DIfferent?
"A Catholic school's primary mission is to help form (some would even say liberate) its students in order that they direct their attention to seeking out what is true, good, and beautiful. These transcendental properties of being...are all aspects of reality that lead us closer to God. We are called to know, desire, and love truth, goodness, and beauty. Schools accomplish this by cultivating virtues--habits of excellence--in students with the help of the family and the Church."
~from The Catholic School Playbook by Michael Ortner and Kimberly Begg
