Happy Fall to all of our families! Thank you so much for your active participation in our school and your student's learning! Our attendance average as a school for the month of October was 90.89%, which is down .95% from last October, and down .2% from the month of September. Please continue to help your child be to school on time each day, because Every Day Counts for our students. Our goal is to hit 95% for our attendance average (first for a week, then eventually for the month)!

We had over 95% participation in our Family Conferences this month. It is so important for our staff to meet with each of our families so that we can share the amazing things your students are doing here at school.

Our student leadership group B.I.O.N.I.C. (Believe It Or Not I Care) will be doing a fundraiser 11/11-11/15. They will be selling pre-orders for a Gratitude Gram. Students can fill out a card for a staff member, friend, or family member and pick a bag of chips for them. All gratitude grams will be delivered on Friday 11/17. Gratitude Grams will be sold for $2.00 in front of the cafeteria from 11/11-11/15. For any questions reach out to Ashley Crossland (School Counselor).

We will be moving into our cold weather season. Please make sure that your children are wearing coats, and possibly hats and gloves to school on those cold days. When the snow begins to stick to the ground, we also recommend students have boots for recess or to stay on the blacktop. We do not typically have students change their clothes if they are wet if they have chosen to roll in the snow without the proper gear to keep them dry. Please let our school know if there is a way that we can help with cold-weather gear. One final request would be to make sure that your child's gear has their name labeled on it so that we can return any lost items to the correct owner, and so that you do not have to buy any replacement gear!

If your family is in need of help this Thanksgiving please let us know. We may be able to provide part of a holiday meal or a full holiday meal to your family. Please contact our office or stop by in person. 970-613-7100

• Diarrhea

Yes – The child or staff member may return to school or child care 48 hours after their

last episode of diarrhea.

• Fever

Fever is a temperature of

100.4°F or greater.

Yes – The child or staff member may return to school or child care if the fever has

been resolved for 24 hours without fever-reducing medications.

• Flu-like Symptoms

• Sore throat

• Runny nose or congestion

Yes - Children and staff may return to school or child care as long as they are

fever-free for 24 hours without the use of fever-reducing medications and symptoms are improving.

We are seeing a lot of flu-like symptoms since the start of school. Please do not send your students to school with symptoms that could be contagious. Call the health office to excuse an illness or if you have any health questions.
