"Welcome" from Student Activities!
Welcome to the 24-25 school year! My name is Mrs. Giuseffi and I am the Student Activities Director at the East campus. Leyden offers so many opportunities to get involved including joining clubs, attending special events, participating in spirit days, volunteering in the community, and much more.
To learn about all the clubs Leyden has, visit the East Leyden Clubs page or see a list here.
During your lunch period, stop by the Student Activities Office located in the mezzanine to say "Hi" or email me at LGiuseffi@Leyden212.org with any questions!
In honor of Leyden's 100th anniversary, we got a NEW Eagle mascot and we need YOU to suggest a name for it! The best names will be selected and voted on by the Leyden students, faculty, & staff at both East & West Leyden. The winning name will be announced at Homecoming!
Click HERE or on the eagle mascot above to submit YOUR most spirited and creative name ideas. Submissions will be accepted until 3:00 pm on August 26th.
On Thursday, August 29th and Friday, August 30th during Eagle Time, students will get the opportunity to visit the Student Activities Fair. At the fair, students will be able to learn more about the activities that are offered at East Leyden.
Students who complete an "Adventure Awaits" treasure map while at the fair will be entered into a raffle to win some Leyden swag!
Summer Leadership Fun
Over the summer two Leyden clubs attended leadership conferences!
Operation Snowball
East Leyden Operation Snowball took its largest group ever to CGTI - summer leadership conference. 27 students attended the conference in different roles - 7 as youth staff, 10 as participants, and 10 as PALS. At the conference students learned skills to help them become leaders in their communities and worked with Ms. Muldoon to organize different events that will be run at East Leyden. If you are interested in learning more about this club, see Ms. Muldoon in the counselor's office.
