Get Ready For Summer Break
It’s almost SUMMER!
That also means…it’s time to return your library materials and textbooks. All are due back to the library no later than Thursday, June 6. You may return them any time during school hours, 7:30am to 3:00pm.
Tip from the pros: A clear library record will ensure you have a smooth August registration!
Lost stuff?
Please pay all outstanding BPS Fines and any district fees on eFunds before your summer break. You can pay fines on eFunds for Schools at https://payments.efundsforschools.com/v3/districts/56264 or with the bookkeeper in the main office.
Empty the Shelves
Bummed about returning all those amazing library books? No worries!
Beginning Tuesday, May 28, students are invited to participate in our “Empty the Shelves for Summer Reading” program.
This is an optional program that allows students currently in grades 9-11 with accounts in good standing (meaning no lost books or overdues) to check out up to ten items over summer break. Items checked out through this program are due on the first day of the 24-25 school year.
This year, we are offering an additional bonus -- the first 50 people to check out their summer reads will also receive a summery Groves Library tote bag! Get yours before they're all gone!
This Month's Featured Database: Ancestry.com
Go down the genealogy rabbit hole this summer and explore the branches of your family tree!

That’s why Ancestry® combines billions of rich historical records, millions of family trees and samples from millions of people in the AncestryDNA® network to help you discover your unique place in history and gain meaningful insights that can impact your future.

Here’s the twist: Goldie went into the summer with a dark secret — but so did her friends. Can she trust Ava and Imogen? Perfect for fans of Holly Jackson and Karen M. McManus, this thrilling mystery novel needs to find a spot on your TBR list ASAP!
Sunkissed
by Kasie West
When you want a feel-good story with cheerful summer vibes, you can’t go wrong with a Kasie West novel. Head to a family summer camp in this rom-com for Dirty Dancing fans. Avery is less than thrilled to be at the camp until she meets the handsome Brooks, an off-limits staff member. For Avery, the summer brings first love, self-discovery, heartache, and beauty.

Ann Truesdell, Librarian
Jaime Sheena, Library Secretary
Mrs. Sheena is our Groves Library Secretary. Stationed at the circulation desk, she is happy to help students and staff with all of their circulation needs. Ask her about what she's reading; she has great book recommendations. She is also a wiz on the Cricut!

Scott MacKinnon, Technology Operations Assistant
Mr. MacKinnon is our Groves TOA. If you have any technology-related problem or question, he's your guy! His office is located in the school library. Fun fact -- Mr. MacKinnon is a Groves graduate!
