*It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Sally Cyr on October 23rd. Sally was 87 years old. There will be a Celebration of Life on October 31st at the Charlevoix Yacht Club from 1-4pm. *Good luck to Ryder Malpass and the EJ Varsity Football Team at their playoff game. East Jordan will play at HOME on Friday, November 1st against Bark River Harris. Kick off is at 7 pm!

*Good luck to Jacky Dunlap and Delaney Little who will be running with the Boyne City Girls Cross Country team on Saturday at the State Meet. Both Jacky and Delaney had Personal Records at the Regional Meet and Delaney was All-Region! Good luck, Ladies!

*Fall Clean Up is this Sunday following worship! Bring your rakes and any tools we may need to help get our yard ready for winter! Please join us! Many hands make light work!

We always look forward to the annual Christmas Pageant which will be held on December 15th. We are planning a “different” Christmas pageant this year, and would like some volunteers to help plan and execute this event. Once again, this year we are collecting money to provide Thanksgiving groceries to families in need in our community. Last year, our church alone donated twenty-six $50 dollar gift cards. This year, we are hoping our church can provide over 25 gift cards to this important cause! Any amount you give will be helpful in reaching our goal. Thank you for your generosity to families in need in East Jordan! There is a basket in the back of the church for your donations...please make sure any checks are labeled "Thanksgiving gift cards".

The Operation Christmas Child Boxes are in the back of the Sanctuary. Below are items that they suggest going in the shoe boxes. You can also support the mission by creating an online shoebox. Susan Kinloch is heading up this mission opportunity. Please contact her with any questions! Shoeboxes are due back by November 10th with $10 for shipping (envelope is in the box...please make payable to Operation Christmas Child).

It's that time of the year again! We are looking for helpers for the Hanging of the Greens service and Christmas Eve. If you are interested in helping, please sign up in the back of the Sanctuary or email the church! ejfirstpres@gmail.com

Advent Happening will take place on December 8th. There will be craft tables in the fellowship hall following worship and a light lunch will be served by the Deacons. If you are interested in helping with a craft, please let a Deacon know or email the office! Thank you!

Toiletry items are appreciated all year round: shampoo, conditioner, deodorant, toothpaste, toothbrushes, body wash, hand and body lotion, laundry soap, hygiene products, etc.

Per Capita is $39 per member for 2024. If you would like to help the church in paying this, you can write a check out and put in the memo line "per capita". There are also separate envelopes in the back of the church for this. Thank you!
