TUSD Family Resource Centers- May 2025
Family Resource Center services are available to TUSD students and their families, free of charge. Please call the center to register for classes. Childcare is available to TUSD students and siblings for most classes. Please inform staff of the need for childcare when you register. Include the number of children, ages, and any special needs. Interpreter services are available. Please inform staff of the need for an interpreter when you register. Please register at least two weeks in advance if interpreter services are needed.

Classes & Workshops for Adults
Chase Money Skills: Improving Credit & Managing Debt- Presented by Chase
Join us for an interactive workshop aimed at helping you create a secure future. In this session, you will learn how to enhance your credit and effectively manage any existing debt. English Class for Adults- Presented by Literacy Connects
The Family Resource Centers have partnered with Literacy Connects to provide free Adult English classes for parents, guardians, or caregivers of TUSD registered students. English Language Acquisition for Adults (ELLA) helps parents learn and improve their English language skills. ELAA students come from more than 70 countries and have educational levels that vary from college graduates to those who do not read and write in their native language. All are welcome.
To sign up for a class, please call the Family Resource Center you are interested in attending. Staff will confirm you are enrolled in the class. Thank you.

Guiding Good Choices- Presented by the Children's Advocacy Center
STEP is a five-week program for parents and caregivers with children aged 9-14. You will learn to promote healthy habits, set guidelines, manage conflicts, and strengthen family bonds. Attendance is important, as each week builds on the lessons from the previous week. Program materials and incentives valued at over $75 will be offered. Lunch will be provided at each class. InShape Prevention Plus Wellness- Presented by La Frontera
We invite you to register for a 1.5-hour prevention program for adults and youth. Kith & Kin- Presented by Candelen
Candelen offers one of the most extensive support programs for family (kin), friend, and neighbor (kith) childcare, which is one of the country’s most common forms of caregiving. It usually includes relatives, friends, neighbors, and other adults caring for children in their home. Whatever role you play in the life of a child, our groups empower you to give kids the brightest start possible. Receive resources, materials and information on topics like:

In this 8-week series you will get to practice new skills in each session to bring home proven strategies and confidently incorporate them into your daily routine with the kids in your care.
