Ranger Report
03/22/24
Hello Ranger Families:
Happy Spring Break! Let’s recognize the hard work that our students put into their education and wish them, along with our staff, some much deserved time off. Take this opportunity to recharge, enjoy the outdoors and connect with family and friends. This week is also typically a good time for “spring cleaning.” Academically “spring cleaning” includes tasks such as:
Using the links below to sign up for school conferences (April 1st and 2nd: Link below)
Making sure your student has forecasted for classes next year (link below)
Log into PowerSchool to check on ELS progress and completing past due assignments

Students have until March 22nd to complete their choices. After that, the system will be closed and counselors will pick classes for the students.

A Focus on Academics
Please partner with us to ensure that your child is proficient in all essential learning standards. EHS teachers and counselors are working actively to reteach challenging concepts, reach out to families and create action plans for students who have not yet shown proficiency. We can do this!

A Focus on SBAC
Why - SBAC Matters:
We encourage high student participation in this test for multiple reasons. This test provides teachers with the data necessary to look at how our students are doing compared to other districts and allows us to make changes in our programs if needed. We do not receive any money for how our students do on this test, but it holds us accountable to ensure we provide a comparable education to other schools. For more information, see the Family guide linked below.
A Focus on Student Behavior
A Focus on Student Behavior
Each week in the Ranger Report I highlight one aspect of our student management expectations (linked below) with the goal of promoting clarity and communication with our parents in regards to behavior expectations and expected consequences. Our goal is to continuously improve our services to families by using data to drive our decisions. With that, now is a good time to ask “how are we doing?” Our fall parent survey results to the question “I believe school rules are enforced consistently at this school” scored a 3.57 out of a possible score of 5.0. I would like to take this opportunity to ask that question again to compare our scores and to see if we are on the right track. Please click on the link below to participate in this quick one question survey. Thank you for your help.
Prom Shop coming April 6th!
On April 6th from 11-2 the EHS Boosters club is hosting a "Prom Shop" in the commons at the high school. There will be dresses and some accessories for Juniors and Seniors to shop through and choose at no cost.

Classrooms are Cell Phone Free Zones
Life is full of distractions that keep us from performing our best.
Our expectation is that classrooms are cell phone free zones.
The classroom is a space for learning and engagement in preparation for a student’s next step in life. Join us in fostering this commitment to learning by:
Talking with your student about their cell phone use in school.
Be prepared to set limits and to collaborate with school staff in making learning a priority.
