The fundraiser is 100% ONLINE and we receive 50% PROFIT
All purchases are made online, from each seller's "Pop-up Store." There are NO fees and NO minimums and the PTO will earn 50% of what you sell...to be used for the PTO Service Project (Beautification of the school).

AFRICAN LIBRARY PROJECT
THANK YOU TO EVERYONE who donated books for the African Library Project! We have received over 1000 BOOKS!! Our next step is to box them up and ship them out. However, we really need monetary donations towards the shipping costs. We currently have about $70 dollars towards the $650 we need. Any small donation is appreciated. Thank you!

LIFE TOUCH will once again be coming to Porter to take our students' FALL SCHOOL PICTURES. Please mark your calendars for THURSDAY, OCTOBER 17!

NJS SERVICE PROJECT NEEDS YOUR HELP
FOOD DRIVE: OCTOBER 7-22
We are asking for canned vegetables and fruit, starches and grains, nonperishable food, and thanksgiving-type ingredients. Please VIEW THE FLYER to view specific item requests.
You can send the donations with your student to school OR you may drop them off in the front office at your convenience. Thank you!
IT'S PUMPKING DECORATING TIME AGAIN!
Storybook Character Pumpkin Decorating Contest...It's that time again for our annual pumpkin decorating contest! Grab a pumpkin and begin to plan out your favorite character's costume-pumpkin size. Remember-pumpkins can be real or artificial and must not be carved.
✅ PUMPKIN DROP OFF - in the library, week of October 15th.
✅ VOTING - will happen October 21-23
✅ FAMILY VIEWING NIGHT - Thursday, October 24th from 6:30-7:30 p.m.
ALL pumpkins will need to be PICKED UP on Friday, October 25th after Career Day or at the Elementary Dance that night.
2024 CAREER DAY IS COMING SOON!
CAREER DAY…has been scheduled for Friday, October 25th. This is a big event and a favorite of many Porter students. Elementary students get to come to school dressed as their future career! Middle school students can come to school dressed to impress as if they are going to a job interview!

✅ Front Office VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES...we've created a VOLUNTEER SIGN-UP for any miscellaneous volunteer work we have for the front office. We will keep it updated as opportunities come up...so, be sure to look at it periodically.
✅ MULTICULTURAL NIGHT...(November 13) Receive VOLUNTEER HOURS for hosting a cultural table representing your country! Use the link to SEE MORE INFORMATION.
✅ PTO needs VOLUNTEERS for their "Porter Gives Back" community service project...Saturday, October 19th. The project is beautifying the school! Use the link to SIGN-UP FOR THIS PROJECT.

✅ The CAFETERIA is always available for volunteers, any day between 11am - 1:45pm. Just come into the front office, sign in, and get your 'volunteer' sticker. We do ask that you work at least 1 hour.

⭐MSA CLUB...will start on Thursday, October 10th
⭐ CHESS CLUB STARTED...Friday, October 4th. However, it is never to late to join the club. Be sure to SIGN-UP FOR CHESS!!

⭐ The BIOMEDICAL ENGINEERING & TECH CLUB will start Monday, October 21st. Calling ALL 7th and 8th graders! Club meetings will be Mondays @ 3:45-4:45pm in Room 128 (Dr. Dhodi's room)

PWCS AQUATICS CENTER is now offering 1-day FUN CAMPS on the "teacher workdays," when students are not attending school. "Come join us for a jam packed, fun filled day at the pool with open swim, land games, and many crafts!"
