Stern and Vlach Library Visit

Our Read Woke Reading Challenge will begin February 3rd. You and your students are challenged to read books that:

• Challenge a social norm

• Give voice to the voiceless

• Provide information about a group that has been disenfranchised

• Seek to challenge the status quo

• Have a protagonist from an underrepresented or oppressed group

I was so excited to receive Mr. Lushenko's announcement that you can now add audio to Google Slides. I've been waiting so long for this addition. I tapped my library partner's expertise in this area and have some things to share with you regarding adding audio to your Google slides and coaching students to do this as well. I've included Karin's tutorial for adding audio to Google slides and links to free audio files. Remind your students to provide attribution to the creator of the audio file in their slideshow. Karin recommends Bensound and SoundBible. Bensound is great for a variety of music clips and SoundBible is great for sound effects.
