Principal's Message
Good afternoon, Meadowbrook Families.
It's today! It's today! Our PTO Sponsored Back to School Social is today. The fun starts at 5:30 on the east (blue) playground. Can't wait to see everyone!
It was another glorious week of learning at MB. I'm very proud of our SuperStars. We are wrapping up our SEL Theme of Building a Community of Respect this week and will be switching to Making Good Choices/Being Responsible next week.
"To build an effective community, everyone must realize that their community is bigger than them." - Idowu Koyenikan
Enjoy the weekend!
See you later,

'Anxious Generation' Community Conversation
WHAT: Community Conversation and Call to Action
WHEN: 7 p.m.Monday, Sept. 30
WHERE: United Methodist Church, 1190 Western Ave., Northbrook
Join us as CATCH leads a Community Conversation and Call to Action about our kids' mental health! There is lots of buzz about Jonathan Haidt's book, "The Anxious Generation," which brings the youth mental health crisis to the forefront. Haidt talks about smartphones, social media, and over-parenting, and he outlines very reasonable steps that we can take to create real change for our kids. We will talk, share our concerns, and discuss actionable next steps to reverse this youth mental health crisis. None of us can do this alone, but we CAN do this together.
