Teacher Corner

Mrs. Zepeda's Class:

We continue on the theme of "Friends" and teaching our students how to make and keep friends. We talk about the social-emotional pictures and get their interpretation of what they see and suggestions on how they can make friends. We have ongoing discussions about how friends take turns, share,and care for each other. They are showing great progress on treating others the way they want to be treated. Academically, we are working on them identifying the first letter of their name along with the letters A,B,C,and D. They are doing amazing work with saying the sound the letter is associated with, through music. We are also practicing rote counting to 10 and identifying numbers 1-6 based on the play centers they are assigned.

Miss. Lindsey's Class:

We are moving into November learning all about Families. Please send pictures of your families we can frame and put up in our class. It's fun to be able to talk about the wonderful family pictures we see. Some big ideas we will be exploring: What makes a family? How are homes alike and how are they different? What do families do together? We will also be learning all about Thanksgiving and having fun with the theme of turkeys! We are problem solving how to take turns and share our favorite toys.

Miss Deb, Miss Kelsey and Miss Janene's Class:

Hello Families,

This month we are talking about families in Uint 3. Please send in family pictures so we can add them to our photo album.

We are counting 1 - 20 in both AM & PM. We are learning to share and take turns.

We will be learning letters - Tt, Ii, Nn, Cc and still working on our letters in our names.

We went to the pumpkin patch and had so much fun. We cut open a pumpkin to see what was inside. We will taste pumpkin seeds and color the seeds for a name craft activity. In November we will be making pumpkin pie in class.
