Feed My Starving Children Field Trip
We are excited to announce our upcoming service project field trip to Feed My Starving Children and then Woodfield Mall for lunch.
7th & 8th graders & All Vision Students: Wednesday, December 18th
5th & 6th graders: Thursday, December 19th
Feed My Starving Children has a facility in Schaumburg where we will help create packs of food to be donated to children in need worldwide. We hold this event annually, and it is one of our favorites! We also can use volunteers if you are interested.
We will need a permission slip filled out for your children here, which also includes more information about the trip: https://forms.gle/bQsciLmcAubvX7ti7
Questions, please call us at 630.279.6160 or email me at gaulisa@saltcreek48.org.
Toys for Tots!
If you would like to donate to Toys for Tots, you can bring your new, unwrapped toy(s) donations to any of the school offices, by Friday, December 15. These toys are being collected specifically for families in DuPage County to help make the holidays a little brighter for children in our area.

ELearning Plans for Inclement Weather
We want to keep you informed about our plan for eLearning days, which may be used in the event of an emergency or severe weather. These days are considered official school days, so it’s important to review the information below to ensure everyone is prepared.
Notification Process
In the event of an eLearning day, families will receive a message from our superintendent, Dr. Amy Zaher, via Thrillshare. Notifications will also be posted on our website and social media platforms. We strive to notify families as early as possible before an anticipated storm so that students, families, and staff can prepare.
Student Preparation
Teachers will prepare students in advance so they know how to join their classes remotely. On an eLearning day, simply have your child log in to their device, and we’ll guide them from there!
Attendance
Since eLearning days count as school days, it’s important to call in your child as absent if they are unable to attend remotely.
eLearning Day Schedule
Please take a moment to review the detailed eLearning schedule we’ve provided to ensure your family is ready should we need to transition to remote learning.
Thank you for your cooperation and support as we work together to ensure learning continues smoothly, no matter the weather!
