Parents,

Beginning next week, you must have your Circool account activated to visit the school. Please go ahead and do this. It only takes a few minutes. Once you have your account activated, the check in process will be much quicker as you just have to scan your Circool QR code and your visitor badge quickly prints out.

Things to know:

* Circool activation emails were sent on Wednesday to custodial parent emails that are in PowerSchool.

* Visitors who are not custodial parents will be able to sign in using a visitor link at the front desk. They need to bring a photo ID.

* If you have students at other Hoover schools, your QR code will work at all Hoover schools.

* Once parents have their account activated, we suggest you add Circool to your home screen on your phone and/or store a screenshot of your QR code for easy access.

* The check in process is very quick if you have your phone with your QR code ready when you enter. The printer is MUCH quicker than Raptor!

**Circool will be used when you come to the Vocabulary Parade and Friends and Family Lunch, so let's be ready!!!

Dear Parents,

This is a friendly reminder about our upcoming Vocabulary Parade scheduled for Thursday, October 31st at 9:00 am.

Please send your child to school dressed in their chosen costume, representing a specific word. It is important that the word and its definition are displayed visibly on their attire.

If you would like to come to the parade, please check in by 8:55 am. Remember we are using Circool!!! Parents will wait in the lobby until the gym doors open at 9am. It is important for visitors to stand/sit on the outer walls of the gym. Try to spread out along the outer walls. Please do not stand/sit/play in the middle of the gym.

We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in making this a memorable and educational experience for our students. We're so excited about the creativity our students will bring to the event!

Instead of attending a traditional fundraiser, we’re inviting families to enjoy a priceless evening together and donate what they would have spent on event tickets, babysitters, and extras to the Hoover City Schools Foundation. Here's how it works:

• Date & Time: Any day between October 21-November 1, 2024 – in the comfort of your own home.
• Event Overview: Skip the hassle of getting dressed up and hiring a babysitter. Instead, spend quality time with your family at home, whether it’s playing games, watching a movie, or simply enjoying each other's company. In exchange, make a donation to the Foundation that reflects what you would have spent on a night out.
• The Impact: Every donation supports our teacher grant program, which funds innovative classroom projects and enrichment activities that go beyond the standard curriculum. By contributing, you’re investing in the future of our students and schools. We are setting our goal at $15,000!

What Your Gifts Can Do:

• $50 can send one fifth grade student to The Hovercraft Project
  
• $100 can sponsor two students for GEMS (Girls Engaged in Math and Science)
  
• $250 can be used for STEM experiments
  
• $500 funds 25% of a classroom grant
