Good Afternoon Highland Families!
As we move into the final full month of the school year, our students have completed Ohio State Tests and are now focused on AP testing. Final exams are just around the corner, and it’s more important than ever for students to stay engaged and finish strong. We appreciate your continued support in encouraging consistent attendance, focused effort, and academic perseverance during these last few weeks.
Go Scots!

March Students of the Month:
Congratulations to the following students who were nominated for their commitment to Scot Pride! These students were rewarded for their hard work in and out of the classroom. Elliott Rothenhauser nominated by Mr. Bielecki, Skylar White nominated by Mr. Walls, Reid Walter nominated by Mrs. Reid, Emma Bolton nominated by Mr. Haring, and Grace Adkins nominated by Master Chief Shipley and Commander Sachleben. Mrs. Pauley and Mrs. McPherson also nominated students who have helped in the office throughout their high school years: Cecilia Grassbaugh, Kameron Stover, and Marissa Fitzpatrick. Throughout this year we have heard so many stories about the great students we have at Highland. We have the best kids at Highland High School!
Tri -Rivers Work Day
Tri-Rivers Career Center Students Give Back at Highland
Highland High School was honored to host students from Tri-Rivers Career Center for a special Day of Service dedicated to giving back to the community. On this meaningful day, Tri-Rivers students rolled up their sleeves and worked throughout our campus on a variety of community service projects.
From landscaping and painting to cleanup efforts and small repairs, these hardworking students made a big impact in just one day. Their efforts helped beautify our school grounds, improve learning spaces, and demonstrate the power of teamwork and service.
This partnership reflects the strong connection between our schools and the shared commitment to instilling a spirit of community involvement in our students. We are deeply grateful to the Tri-Rivers staff and students for choosing Highland as part of their service initiative.
Thank you, Tri-Rivers, for making a difference and showing what it means to give back!
Celebrating Emmerson Bragg’s Achievement in SLP Mentorship
Congratulations to Highland High School’s own Emmerson Bragg, who was recognized at the Mid-Ohio ESC's inaugural High School Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) Career Mentor and Mentee Celebration Event on May 8, 2025. Emmerson participated in the 2025 SLP Mentorship Program, which connects high school students with professionals in the field of speech-language pathology. Her dedication and interest in helping others through communication support earned her a $500 internship stipend, awarded by the Mid-Ohio ESC Board of Governors and the Richland County Community Connection Grant. We’re proud of Emmerson and her commitment to exploring meaningful career pathways!
