Today students had the opportunity to work with the counselors on making PAWSitive goals for the year. Panthers enjoyed thinking about how they can reach their dreams and realize their potential.

Students have access in their Clever accounts to a program called Paper Tutoring. This program is for students in grades 4 through 12 and it is completely free on-demand tutoring assistance. Please remind your students that this is available to them should they want or need any help on any assignments.

Monday we will begin our PTA Popcorn Fundraiser. Please help us support all of the great activities our PTA has planned for our students this year.

Data Confirmation is Open

Each year we ask ALL FAMILIES to complete online data confirmation through our Aeries Parent Portal. This important step allows us to have the most up-to-date information for your student. This process must be completed for all students. Parents will need one Parent Portal account to access the entire family and complete data confirmation for each child attending a BUSD school. If you do not have the required information to create a Parent Portal account, please contact your school site. Sites will re-open to the public on Wednesday, August 3rd. If you forgot your password, you can reset the password by selecting Forgot Password.

Students are not able to use their cell phones or cameras while on campus. Our PTA and staff love to capture memories of our students completing class projects, exciting activities, learning in action, and events on campus and share those memories with families. During the data confirmation process, you will have the opportunity to allow us to include your student in these pictures and videos. We do not post personal information with the pictures but would love to include your student in these memories. When completing data confirmation please consider allowing your student to take part in photos and videos so that we can include them in these memories.

Hello, I am Miss Andrea Guzman De La Vega, or Miss G and I am one of the counselors here at Ernie Pyle Elementary School. I am excited to get to know our students, parents and any other important adults in their lives. My goal is to create a safe and caring learning environment in which students know they will always find support and a smile. Parents, I am looking forward to supporting your student, please don’t hesitate to consider us counselors a part of your child’s team in supporting their educational and social emotional learning. I am looking forward to the 2022-2023 school year, eager to learn each student’s face, name and story!

The school office is open to the public Monday through Friday from 8:00 to 3:45 daily. If you need assistance with registration or have any questions please call the office at (562) 804-6528. If our friendly office staff is assisting another parent, please leave a message and your call will be returned.
