Shirley Hills Elementary PBIS Mission Statement

Our mission is to provide a positive and fair environment where teachers can teach, and students can learn by encouraging behaviors that are responsible, respectful, and safe for all students.

To help students remember and practice our expectations, we display reminders of positive behaviors throughout different areas of the school. Staff will provide ongoing instruction on our school-wide expectations in all settings, including classrooms, restrooms, cafeterias, hallways, buses, computer labs, media centers, playgrounds, and assemblies.

Students have the opportunity to earn DOJO points daily for exhibiting positive behaviors. Those who accumulate enough points each grading period will be invited to our Good Behavior Celebration.
