Spotlight of the Week
On Friday, Daley grade 5 students participated in the annual 5th Grade Olympics. Students proudly represented the nations of Brazil, Kenya, Ireland, Greece, Cambodia, and USA as they competed in relay-style events. After an inspirational opening ceremony, which involved student speakers sharing information about their respective countries, students faced off in games, such as Tug-of-War, Jump Rope, Burpees, Cone Flip, Basketball Layups, and a massive dance competition!
In true Daley fashion, the final victory was a close call. In the end, Ireland, Homeroom 101 came in third, Brazil, Homeroom 105 came in second, and Cambodia, Homeroom 103 took the winning spot. Congratulations and well done to all participants!

Happening in Lowell
The Lowell Transitional Living Center greatly appreciates the sock donation from the Daley Middle School Community. 7,890 pairs of socks is a record for the Daley and for the LTLC! LTLC noted that this is more than previous corporate donations and will last them into the late summer months. LTLC is hosting their biggest fundraiser of the year, a 5K through Lowell.
Where is the bus? Check the spreadsheet!
The Lowell Public Schools Transportation Department has added a live spreadsheet to its webpage that indicates in the AM or PM if a school bus (grades K-8) is running late and by how long. Check it out today: https://www.lowell.k12.ma.us/Page/5990
