Chinese 1 Celebrates Chinese New Year
The lunar new year begins on the first new moon after the winter solstice.
In China and families of Chinese origins all over the world, it is a time for families to come together, to celebrate the end of one year and the beginnings of a new year. This holiday is named the Spring Festival 春節 (pronounced chunjie), and lasts for 15 days.
The Spring Festival celebration includes wearing red, preparing and eating traditional foods, giving red envelopes to children, and setting off fire crackers.
Students Shine in First-Level FBLA Competitions
