Welcome Back Rockets! We hope you had a refreshing winter break and are ready to embark on the next chapter of our online learning journey. As we begin the new year, semester, and quarter, we are excited to share some updates and announcements with you.

Our third quarter (Q3) begins on Tuesday, January 14th, 2025. Your Q3 class schedules will be available in the Infinite Campus Portal and will also be emailed to you on Monday, January 13th, 2025.

Exciting Updates for the Semester

• New Classes: We are thrilled to introduce two new Arts & Music classes this semester: Art Appreciation and Introduction to Guitar. These courses provide wonderful opportunities to explore creativity and artistic expression.
• New ASB Advisor: Please join us in welcoming Ms. Anahi Cuellar as our new Associated Student Body (ASB) advisor for the second semester. We look forward to her leadership and creativity in supporting student engagement and activities.
• New Teachers: We are also delighted to welcome four new teachers to our school community. They bring a wealth of knowledge and enthusiasm to our team, and we are confident they will contribute to your success.

This first week of our third quarter (Q3), we will be LIVE Online everyday Tuesday-Friday from 8:30am to 12:00pm. Join Us online if you face any obstacles as we start a new quarter.

The start of a new semester and quarter is a perfect time for fresh beginnings. Remember, you have a dedicated support system behind you—your academic coach, teachers, counselors, and the entire school staff are here to support you every step of the way.

• First Day of School for our third quarter (Q3) is Tuesday, January 14th, 2025.

• Progress Report # 1 will be available to parents and students on February 7th.
• Progress Report #2 will be available to parents and students on February 28th.
• Quarter 3 Final Grades will be available to parents and students on March 21st.

In-Person (Hybrid) Support

• Hybrid support is offered to students Tuesdays through Fridays from 9:00am to 12:30pm at our school's Mission Control Offices located at 1355 2nd Ave, Chula Vista, CA 91911 .
  
• Snack and Lunch are provided.
• Students will attend their online classes and receive in-person support from teachers, tutors, and support staff.

Blast off into academic success with Saturday Learning Liftoff – a dynamic in-person support program designed to give students the boost they need to reach new heights in their learning.

Whether you’re looking to catch up, reinforce key concepts, or prepare for upcoming assessments, Saturday Learning Liftoff offers focused, small-group instruction tailored to each student's needs. Join us every Saturday from 9:00am to 12pm for an opportunity to get the academic lift you need to excel, with personalized support that will propel you toward success!

The Sweetwater Union High School District (SUHSD) has been sending email and text information to all district students and parents about Summer School for regular in-person schools.

As every year, Launch Virtual Academy will host its own Summer School. During our third (Q3) quarter we will inform you about our internal registration process for Summer School. Please disregard SUHSD messages regarding registration for summer school.

Note. Summer School at our school is only for current students.

When you submit a photo we will print out your id card for you. The first batch of i.d. cards will be available for pick up on TUESDAY, January 14th, 2025 at Mission Control.
