Greetings, Mariner Families and Happy Presidents' Day!
I hope you enjoyed the long weekend.
This Wednesday we will have a parent night for spring sports. If your child will be joining a team this spring, please join us at 6 pm in the gym to meet the coaches and get information about the upcoming season. Each coach will have breakout meetings specific to their team.
Congratulations to girls' water polo for making it to the second round of CIF playoffs! They were defeated by the number one seed on Saturday, but they had a great season! Good luck to boys' soccer in their first round of playoffs tonight and boys' basketball, who play their first game tomorrow. Congratulations to our wrestling team as well for their appearance at the CIF meet this Saturday. They placed 5th overall and are sending 5 wrestlers to the Masters! Our athletes are doing great things!
Welcome to our newest Mariner staff members! Ms. Grace is teaching Biology, Mr. LimĂłn is teaching ELD, and Ms. Juarez just joined us in the special education department last week. Our new librarian, and MVH alumnus, Mr. Keshka, started with us this semester too! And we welcome Mr. Cruz, our new gardener who is committed to making MVH look beautiful.
Have a wonderful week, Mariners!
Sincerely,
Teresa Kramer
