Mayo Clinic Health System is excited to partner with Mankato Area Public Schools to bring Wellness Week to your students April 29 – May 3! The goal of Wellness Week is reinforce and build on the health and wellness information that students are receiving at school and home. Be looking for a communication about the topics of the day to come home with your student.

After discussing light and sound energy, 3rd worked to include both in their designed arcade games. Student loved working cooperatively to construct a wall maze~ innovation at it's finest!

Field Day will take place on May 22. Details are listed below. If it's bad weather, the back up day is Thursday May 23rd.

Please send your students to school in active wear, including tennis shoes. Feel free to send sun screen as well.

Next month on Sunday, May 19th from 1 pm-4 pm, LEC is hosting our annual community fam opener event at the Blue Earth County Farm. This is where your student's seeds will be planted.

All students and their families are invited the students to the event so they can see the school garden, plant the flowers they sowed, and learn more about the program their students are participating in, and learn about LEC.

This week we celebrated our last day of ExCEL with some cooperative community building outdoors. Students painted rocks with positive messaging for our terrace, made dandelion artwork and even got to blow some bubbles and shake a parachute! Lots of smiles, laughter and positive connections were being made!

Jefferson is having a SPRING CONCERT on Thursday, May 2!

ALL students K-5 will be involved, but please read carefully what times each grade level performs.

Each grade level has 2 separate times they will be performing during the day

for you to choose from to attend:

*Kindergarten, 1st, and 2nd grade will perform at 8:45am AND 12:15pm

*3rd, 4th, and 5th grade will perform at 10:00am AND 1:30pm

We are so excited to have a chance to share a concert with you!

Join us on May 7th from 12-9 p.m. for Jefferson’s last food fundraiser for the school year, Frozen Yogurt. Show this flyer as 25% of proceeds will benefit Jefferson's community initiatives.
