MESA's Fall Scholastic Book Fairs
This fall's Scholastic Book Fairs will be held:
December 14 & 15 at Jordan/Jackson
December 12 & 13 at Robinson
The book fairs will be open during parent-teacher conferences at both schools. Unlike in recent years, students WILL NOT VISIT the fair with their classes. Parents are welcome to shop while at the school for conferences. This is a great opportunity to do some holiday shopping and give the gift of reading!
Dates and Times:
J/J Thursday 12/14: 12:00 to 8:00pm **Open to the Public**
J/J Friday 12/15: 12:00 to 3:00pm **Open to the Public**
ROB Tuesday 12/12: 1:00 to 8:00pm **Open to the Public**
ROB Wednesday 12/13: 1:00 to 3:30pm **Open to the Public**
Classes will visit the book fairs in the spring.
ROTARY CLUB OF MANSFIELD TOYS FOR TOTS DRIVE
The Rotary Club of Mansfield is holding their annual Toys for Tots Drive to collect and deliver toys to children in the area. Half of the toys collected are picked up by the local Marines and distributed to needy families in Bristol County. The other half is delivered to West Side Benevolent Circle of Mansfield for distribution to local families and their children.
Jordan/Jackson is again hosting decorated donation boxes in both our East and West offices. All toys should be new and unwrapped. The drive receives many toys for younger children, leaving teenagers with little to receive. Gift cards are great gifts for teens. Monetary donations are always welcome and can be sent to: Mansfield Rotary Club, P.O. Box 251, Mansfield, MA 02048
Last day for drop-off is December 12.
LUNCH/RECESS MONITORS NEEDED
Proposed Start Date: Immediate
Hours: 10:30am - 1:00pm
Responsibilities include:
- Monitor students Grades 3-5 during lunch and recess
- Implement appropriate cafeteria and recess health and safety protocols
- Provide active and engaging supervision of students at recess to ensure safety
- Maintain a positive playground environment while promoting positive interactions between students
- Assist students with cafeteria lunch line, appropriate behavior, and student disposal of trash
- Five day availability preferred

iCARE Reading Volunteers Needed
The iCARE Disability Awareness program is looking for volunteers who can read books about special needs to all the classrooms in the preschool and elementary schools to help teach our typically developing kids about their special-needs peers. If you are interested in volunteering, it can be very rewarding and takes as little as half an hour of your time. Please contact Kim Piro at
