Principal's Message
Dear Cavalier Families,
Red Ribbon Week is in full force this week! Our TACO (Tobacco and Cannabis Outreach) club and ASB have many activities planned to help our students say NO to drugs! Please participate in the Dress up Days as well and earn 5 star points! While there were plans for a Fall Dance, it seems that it may turn into more of a festival. So there will be no Dance this Friday, but stay tuned for a Fall themed activity soon!
A shoutout to all of our Fall Sports student athletes who represented us in Cross Country, Baseball, Softball and Basketball! I am so proud of their athleticism and sportsmanship! A huge congratulations to our Girl's Basketball Team who is advancing to the Championship Game on Monday at 5:30 pm at Mar Vista High School. Let's cheer them on for a repeat Championship banner!
There are so many great things happening at school, see the pictures below!
This week's announcements:
- Students continue to have Performance Tasks in their core classes this week.
- We will have lunch time Trick or Treating on Thursday for those dress in costumes. Please see our Halloween Costume guidelines. Those dressed in costumes not suitable for school will be asked to change into regular school wear. If there is a question about if your costume is appropriate or not, please show a picture of it to me or Mr. Willard BEFORE Thursday.
- Progress Report 2 is this Friday. Students will receive a copy of their progress report to take home. Grades will also be available in the Infinite Campus Parent Portal.
- Rise Up Friday this week is with the Science Department. Parents may be contacted from their student's science teacher to have a parent-teacher-student conference on Friday afternoon and/or have their student stay for an hour to receive extra assistance.
- There is Saturday School this Saturday from 8:00 am - 12:00 pm. Students who have multiple absences/tardys to clear, or who will be asked to come for extra support must attend. Enter through the G street gate.
Continuing announcements:
- All students and parents have the unique opportunity to receive individual and family therapy sessions at no cost through the Center of Mindful Relationships. If any student is interested in this, please fill out this form or scan the QR code on the flyer listed below.
- Parents can register their students for Club TC on the school website or through the QR code below. The Club TC office is in Room 215, close to the white G street gate. Those arriving early must enter through the gate. After school dismissal is also through the white G street gate. Once students exit the Auditorium gate at 3:10 pm they are not allowed to enter back for Club TC.
Please feel free to contact myself or Assistant Principal
Mr. Kevin.Willard@sweetwaterschools.org with any questions.

A lot of cultures share their love for each other through food! This is very true in the Filipino culture! Usually a common greeting between loved ones is not "How are you?" but "Have you eaten yet?". I will be doing a cooking activity on Tuesday after school with the cooking club. We'll be making LUMPIA! Come join me!
