We are excitedly rolling into week 7! There are no spaces nor places that our fires of excellence cannot reach. Last week, the district’s SEI (School Effectiveness Index) results were released. We successfully surpassed Travis!! Congratulations to our students, staff and entire community that contributed to our success!

As a community, let us please welcome our new GT teacher, Mrs. Frankie Weathers! We are so excited to have her join our staff. She has many years of experience in education. She is looking forward to making GT a fun and creative place to learn! Welcome to Dealey Mrs. Weathers!

In Maria Montessori ‘s quote, she is explaining the importance of having vision in respect to the power we give children to be the best version of themselves. We are diligent in encouraging our students to be the most powerful versions of themselves. As the leader, Montessori held the vision for an educational movement that would later change the world. As the leader of this community, I have and continue to work towards that original vision. At Dealey , we are building integrally powerful and compassionate children.

My name is Mrs. Frankie Weathers. I will be teaching GT this year. I am a retired K-6 Teacher/ Asst. Principal that returned to the classroom at Edna Rowe/Buckner Terrace Montessori in 2021! I have taught K-6 grade for 28 years. I started my career in Dallas ISD. I have served as an Assistant Principal for 5 years in Richardson ISD. I retired from Garland ISD. My goal is to make learning fun. Science is my passion. I love helping others! I freely share the talents and resources that I have been blessed with. If I can help, I will. This is year #34! Let’s make it count!

Weather permitted Dealey will have a full outdoor pest control for Tuesday, September 24, 2024.

No outside activities will be permitted until September 25.

Please help communicate to all that will be affected by this.

We will cancel outdoor recess, gardening, soccer practice, any other outdoor activity.

The chickens will need to be relocated on Monday, September 23, 2024, and can return on the 25 or 26. If it rains or we have high winds- our alternate date is Wednesday, September 25.

GIRLS CIRCLE IS NOW OPEN TO 6th GRADE GIRLS!

Register today for the 4th - 6th grade Girls Circle! The circle is limited to 16 girls. Early Bird pricing extended through 9/18!

Circles meet on the following Fridays from 3:50 - 5:20 PM.

Fridays 9/20, 10/4, 10/25, 11/15, 12/13

We will eat pizza, dance, play music, and do arts & crafts. The girls won’t even realize that they’re learning some of the most important skills of their lives!

Girls on the Run was developed to inspire girls to value what makes them unique! Our program facilitates ways for girls to gain confidence, build social skills, and realize their incredible potential. No running experience required.

Registration period is open through September 9th on a first come, first serve basis. Program is capped at 12 girls.
