Learning This Past Week

Language Arts: We continue to read "My Teacher is an Alien" and practice comparing and contrasting, finding the main idea from readings, and constructing summaries. We also learned about suffixes, specifically how to make nouns plural using -s, -es, and -ies.

Social Studies: Students started our new lesson on Native Americans and Their Land. They are reading about migration routes, origin stories, and how the Native Americans adapted to their environments.

Math: Our mathematicians have finished their first unit of the year, demonstrating impressive growth and understanding of the concepts. They worked hard and demonstrated perseverance in solving problems. Well done, students!

Science: In science, our learners have delved deeper into the relationships between producers, consumers, and decomposers in ecosystems.

Cherry Crest’s Family STEAM Night is Friday, October 25th from 5:30pm - 7:30pm.

There are going to be so many fun and interactive activities such as Sphero Cars, Beebots, an Egg Drop Challenge, and Spider Web Bridges. We sure hope you can make it!

PTSA and Cherry Crest are asking for help collecting supplies for this exciting event.
