Friday Newsletter: May 10, 2024
Hello Santanas and happy Friday!
State Testing: Testing starts next week (5/13-5/16). Students have been given their testing session and classroom assignment. We did a practice run today to make sure that students were familiar with the classroom and their teacher. We will be on a modified schedule Monday-Thursday, so students in our AM testing will be here from 8a-11:30a and our PM testing group will be here from 10:45a-2:15p. Friday will be our regular schedule.
*For students taking the bus, please note that we will only have bus transportation to school (8:00a) and at the end of the day (2:15p). If your child is in the AM session, you will need to make pick up arrangements for them at 11:30a. If your child is in the PM session, you will need to make arrangements for them to get to school by 10:45a.
Progress Reports: Just a reminder that progress reports are posted digitally in Aeries. Parents can check in on their child's progress through the Aeries Parent Portal. If you have any issues logging in, please reach out to us and we will be happy to help you troubleshoot.

Santiago Spotlight
Our Santiago Spotlight for this week is Klover H. Klover shared with us this amazing drawing of her cousin, Harmony. Klover used pencil to create this incredible portrait, with so many details, highlights and shadows, making it black and white realism. This drawing took her a few months to complete. Klover also likes to paint and use other forms of art media. She is currently in our art conservatory, has earned honorable mention in the reflections contest held by the PTSA, and hopes to one day attend an art school. Thank you Klover for sharing your art with us.
We love our Santanas and are so proud of them. We want to celebrate their achievements and talent beyond the classroom. If you would like to submit a student for recognition, please fill out this form: Student Spotlight
