Message from the Principal, Dr. Johnson:
Good Afternoon Longhorn Parents,
What a fantastic week it has been for our Longhorns! Our students have been fully engaged in their learning, and it's wonderful to see their enthusiasm in the classroom. In our science and social studies classes, students reviewed important concepts during blended learning studios. We are proud of our dedicated teachers who continue to maintain high instructional expectations. This commitment ensures that lessons are not only rigorous but also prepare our Longhorns for a bright future.
Beyond the core subjects, our students are having a blast in their daily exploratory classes! They are diving into a variety of exciting activities such as cooking, yoga, hair styling, ball sports, football statistics, and so much more. Every six weeks, our Longhorns will have the chance to choose from different exploratory options, allowing them to explore their interests and talents. These classes are innovatively designed to provide out-of-the-box learning opportunities that spark creativity and foster personal growth.
I want to extend a heartfelt thank you for your continued support of all things Polly Ryon. Your partnership is invaluable, and it plays a crucial role in making our Longhorns’ experiences here truly magical. Together, we are creating a nurturing environment where our students can thrive.
Here’s to more wonderful weeks ahead!
Enjoy your weekend,
Dr. Stacie Johnson, Principal

A Message from the Principal:
Dear Longhorn Families,
Can you believe the first six weeks of school have already flown by? Our Longhorns have jumped into the second six weeks with enthusiasm and a thirst for learning!
In their ELAR classes, they’ve been making inferences and connections during blended learning studios. In math, they’ve been mastering the division and multiplication of rational numbers, and in science, they’ve been diving deeper into the fascinating world of elements and compounds. This week, our social studies lessons took them on an exploration of the foundations of government.
We truly have a remarkable group of students, and we’ve quickly come to care for each one of them. Thank you for sharing your wonderful kids with us and for partnering with us to make this year their best yet!
Enjoy the holiday tomorrow and the long three-day weekend ahead!
Warm regards,
Dr. Stacie Johnson, Principal
