Inclement Weather & Cold Weather Reminders
Inclement Weather
Severe weather may result in school closing decisions. Please understand that the optimal time to make informed decisions to close school due to inclement weather is in the early morning. If severe weather is forecasted, we encourage parents to prepare your childcare options the night before so that you are prepared if a school closure occurs. School closing decisions will be made no later than 6:00am. Our children's and staff safety is our top priority.
With our communication system, all families will be notified via email and a phone call if school is cancelled. Text messages will occur if a mobile number is listed and you have opted into texts. It is imperative that you always have your updated phone number. You may update your information by calling your school office. You may also check out our district website at www.itasca10.org. In addition, District 10 is a member of the (ECC) Emergency Closing Center.
