The Easton High School NJROTC Cadets held the annual Community Veterans Celebration on November 4th. It was a fantastic tribute and wonderful to see our high school cadets have the ceremony in person this year!

Over the past week, students worked on their Veterans Service-Learning project. EES 5th graders discussed what it means to be a veteran and created questions for the Local Veterans Zoom Panel. They wrote letters letting Veterans know how thankful they are for their sacrifices and service to our country. Easton Elementary 5th grade teachers collaborated with Michael Feehley from the Easton Elks Veterans Affair office, to coordinate the multi-class Zoom meeting.

Chef Mike visited Tilghman Elementary and teams up with students Autumn Henckel and Aiden Jones to show us how to make Spaghetti Squash!

1. To prepare the spaghetti squash, preheat the oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit and line a large, rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper for easy clean-up.
2. Use a chef knife spears hole along the horizon of the raw squash. Place in the microwave and cook till it starts to become soft. Don’t over cook.
3. Use a large spoon to scoop out the spaghetti squash seeds and discard them. Drizzle the insides of each squash half with 1 teaspoon olive oil and rub it all over the inside, adding more oil if necessary. Sprinkle salt and pepper lightly over the interiors of the squash, then place them cut-side down on the prepared baking sheet.
4. Bake for 40 to 50 minutes, until the cut sides are turning golden and the interiors are easily pierced through with a fork. Small squash will be done sooner than large squash, naturally!
5. Once the squash is done baking, fluff the interiors with a fork to make the insides spaghetti-like. Serve as desired.

The Talbot County Health Department is offering COVID Vaccine Clinics for children ages 5-11. For more information and to make an appointment for an upcoming clinic visit:

The clinic is open to all Talbot County Public School students. If you have multiple children in different schools you can register them for the same flu clinic, it does not have to be the one designated to their school. Please make sure when you are registering that you pick the correct link below.

The Middle School and High School clinics will be held during the school day. If you select one of those clinics then your child will receive their vaccination during school hours.

The Elementary School clinics will be held after school and a parent/guardian must be present for the vaccination.

You must register your child for one of the flu clinics in order for them to receive the vaccination. If you have any questions about the flu vaccine or clinics please contact the Health Department at 410-819-5600.

Bullying and cyberbullying, harassment and intimidation, hazing, and/or bias behaviors are unsafe behaviors that do not reflect respect for others as defined by Policy 10.16 on STUDENT CONDUCT – BULLYING, HARASSMENT OR INTIMIDATION . If a student is a target of one of these behaviors, you can report it using the Bullying, Harassment, or Intimidation Reporting Form (linked below).

The form is also available at all schools, in the main office and the school’s counseling office. Students can also report issues directly to a staff member. When a situation that involves any of these behaviors is reported, staff members will respond quickly and will provide a practical, private, and safe place to report.
