Superintendent's Message
Loveland Tiger Families,
Our “Grandparents and Great Influences” events continued last week, bringing in another wave of visitors and creating even more special memories. People came from all over to take part. Some grandparents traveled to Loveland from all parts of Ohio, along with Kentucky, Indiana, and even West Virginia!
This note sent to Loveland High School Principal Dave Spencer summarizes things really well:
“We LOVED being with our granddaughter, Hailey, and enjoying the time together… as a former Tiger, I LOVE being back and seeing teachers, parents, and grandparents that I had the pleasure of working with MANY years ago! YES, A Beautiful Day!!” - Steve and Connie Zinser
I want to thank all the “Great Influences” who were invited to be special guests for one of our students. On Friday, at Loveland Intermediate School, older siblings, coaches, and even a piano instructor were invited into the classrooms. I can only imagine how special it was for each of those people to be asked to come into one of our buildings and be recognized as a “Great Influence” in the life of a child.
As we all head toward Winter Break, I hope you’re heading into the holiday season with an extra dose of #beLOVEland spirit!

Go Tigers!

Science and Innovation Expo
This year, Loveland will host our first-ever Science and Innovation Expo! The event will take place on Saturday, February 1st, 2025, from 9 am to 12 pm at Loveland High School. This day is an opportunity to celebrate and showcase the amazing learning that happens around Loveland! The Science and Innovation Expo is a one-day event that gives students two pathways to choose from: a Science Expo and an Innovation Expo.
For more information about each pathway, click here to watch a video or read the brief description below:
Here is more information about each pathway:
The Science Expo is a traditional science fair where students have the opportunity to conduct a scientific research project or engineering design project and present their findings to their peers and community judges, with the opportunity to qualify for Regional Science Day at the University of Cincinnati, called the Science and Engineering Expo. If students achieve well at UC, they have the opportunity to qualify for State Science Day at Ohio State University. This pathway is open to students in grades 5-12 who can present individually or in groups of up to three.
The Innovation Expo is an open-ended opportunity for students to identify a problem and solve it with something they will create or to simply create and share something creative, inventive, or innovative. Some ideas may be a DIY craft, coding/computer science project, an engineering creation, or anything else in which your child creates something to share! This pathway is open to all students grades PreK-12, and community judges will provide informal feedback about the strengths of each project, as well as areas to grow. Students can participate individually or in groups of up to three.
To learn more details about the event, how to submit a project, project ideas, and project requirements, visit Loveland's website at https://lovelandschools.org/expo.
For any questions, please reach out to innovation@lovelandschools.org. We hope to see you on February 1st!
