LUSD Kindness Week is Finally Here!
We are partnering with the White Pony Express foundation to support the victims of the fires in Altadena, CA
- Items to collect for donation drive: gift cards and notes of encouragement to the families who were impacted by the Southern California fires. (See Gift Card Flier for details)
- Drop off all gift cards and notes to the Reese Office.
District Wide Kindness Spirit Week 2/10/25-2/14/25
- Monday- Be Kind to Your Family: Do something kind around your house to help your family.
- Tuesday- Be Kind to Your Friends: Write a kind note to a friend (to be complete at Reese House Meeting)
- Wednesday- Be Kind to Our Heroโs: Draw a picture or write a thank you note to the firefighters in Southern California
- Thursday- Be Kind to Your Environment: School Beautification Day!
- Friday- Be Kind to Your School: Draw a picture or write a thank you note to a Reese Staff member who helps or supports you.

Sixth Grade Families
The Intra-District Transfer Application (IDA) process is now fully online. Current 6th grade students wanting to attend a school outside of their school of residence, must complete an IDA application. The first step is to request an IDA from your 7th grade designated school of residence. Please note that paper forms are no longer available; the application must be completed online. The deadline is February 1st, just one week away!
Breakfast and Lunch Supervision Help Needed
Reese Families,
We are seeking assistance with supervising students during the morning breakfast as well as during lunch recess.
Breakfast Supervision: 7:35 AM - 8:20 AM
Lunch Supervision 10:45 AM - 1:00 PM
If youโre interested, you can either volunteer your time or apply with LUSD as a substitute cafeteria monitor for Reese, which comes with compensation (finger printing is a requirement).

NorCal Science & Technology Festival
We are excited to announce that the NorCal Science & Technology Festival will again be hosted at Lodi High School on February 22nd, 10am to 3:00pm. The festival is a student-organized, FREE one-day celebration of science and technology featuring STEAM career professionals, fun presentations, hands-on activities, and special exhibitions designed to entertain all ages. This event is student organized. Please encourage your students and their families to attend!

Junkyard Masterpiece Art Competition (K-12)
New this year is our first-ever art competition, "Junkyard Masterpieces", sponsored by Cal-Waste. Students Pre-K through 12 are invited to create collages and/or sculptures from recycled and reused materials that will be showcased at the NorCal Science Festival. All of the information regarding this competition is on the attached flyer.

Help Lodi Memorial name their New Robot: Grades K-4
Adventist Health Lodi Memorial is holding a naming competition for their hospitalโs new surgical robot with local elementary classes K-4, and would love for all of the LUSD elementary schools to participate! The winning class is invited to attend a special robotic event on February 20th at Adventist Health Lodi Memorial. The event will include a demonstration and interaction with the robot, child-centered activities, and will likely include a local media presence.
