Free Breakfast and Lunch in SMCISD
The San Marcos CISD Child Nutrition Department continues to operate under the Community Eligibility Program (CEP) through the National School Lunch Program and School Breakfast Program for the 2024-2025 school year.
Schools qualifying to operate CEP serve breakfast and lunch to all children at no charge and
eliminate the collection of meal applications for free, reduced-price, and paid student meals.
This new approach reduces burdens for both families and school administrators and helps ensure that students receive nutritious meals.
ALL IN Rattlers
All employees of Rattler Nation celebrated the new school year with their annual Convocation on Monday, August 12. The program was led by students performances, district celebrations and a powerful keynote address from Joaquin Zihuatanejo!
SMEF Awards $16,000 in Teacher Grants
The San Marcos Education Foundation awarded SMCISD employees with $16,000 in grants at the annual Convocation celebration. These awards were made possible through the fundraising efforts of the voluntary SMEF members. This summer, the foundation was pleased to partner with the H-E-B Tournament of Champions Charitable Trust organization to ensure educator awardees received all funds!
Are you an SMHS Alum?
San Marcos Education Foundation is accepting nominations for Distinguished Alumni candidates. The Distinguished Alumni Award event aims to recognize and honor former San Marcos High School graduates whose achievements, strength of character, and citizenship serve as models to inspire and challenge today's youth.
