On Friday, October 4th from 7 - 9:15 PM, the Wixom WatchDOGS will be hosting a FREE “Films With Fellas” showing of The Garfield Movie for our Wixom Elementary students and their families. There will be a short meeting in the cafeteria at 7PM for Dads/Dudes to learn more about the WatchDOGS, where they can earn a family popcorn pack by signing-up for our mailing list. The movie will start at ~7:30 PM outside on the circle track, so bring your chairs, blankets, snacks and drinks, and get ready for some fat furry feline family fun!

Lifetouch School Picture Day will take place Monday, October 7th at Wixom Elementary. Additional information will be shared as the date approaches.

A Note Regarding PTA Memberships and Popcorn Days:

All students of currently registered PTA members receive free popcorn on our monthly popcorn days. In fact, for families with two or more students at Wixom Elementary, it’s cheaper to join the PTA than pay for Popcorn Days separately! Please be advised that PTA memberships must be renewed each school year. In order to join the PTA for this school year, please visit the PTA website

• Color Run October 11

• Skate Night at Bonaventure October 17th: Join us for skating from 6-8:30 PM (NEW TIME). $12 gets you entry and skate rental for the night! The theme is Halloween!

• Trunk or Treat October 18th, Wixom Walking Path, 6:45-8:00PM

• Popcorn Day October 25th: $1 for a bag of popcorn, free with a family PTA membership!

Here is all of the event details:

Friday, October 11th

-2:00pm: Parent volunteers will arrive, sign-in, hear directions, and go to their stations

-2:15pm: K-2 will go around the track then have popsicles, all will go inside by 2:40pm

-2:50-3:30pm: 3-5 grade will go around the track and then have popsicles

-Dismissal: We will use the parent sign-out sheet to call students to the front door

Looking for an easy way to support our school? Shop for groceries at Kroger and they will contribute money to our PTA. It’s easy to sign up in the Kroger App:

If you do not have access to a computer at home for your child to use for iReady lessons,

please contact the school and we may be able to let you borrow a Chromebook. We have a limited number of Chromebooks available for students to borrow for the year.
