Teacher Appreciation Week
We are compiling a book for each Teacher/Staff Member and need your child to fill out and color a page for their teacher and any other staff members they would like to thank. If you need a few more copies you can print the Teacher Coloring Page off below. We will be collecting them in the front office until Wednesday, May 4th.
PLEASE HAVE YOUR CHILD CHECK THE LOST AND FOUND!
HAWKS READING CHALLENGE
Please be sure to complete all sections of the Reading Assignment page to include the personal information in the lower right corner of the page.
These forms are due MAY 2.

*When it comes to the available dates, families can choose which of those days they would like to come to. Because the tickets are general admission, they can exchange their vouchers for tickets at the box office the day of the game.
ASSESSMENTS STILL HAPPENING THIS WEEK
We ask for your help in preparing your students for these assessments by having them well rested and in school daily. Sending in a healthy snack is also a great idea!
Appointments before or after school are greatly appreciated. Students who miss their assessments each day must make up the test at a later time, causing an additional loss of instructional time. We are making every effort to focus our instruction on supporting students with mastery of their grade-level standards, so attendance is crucial.
Also, please note that we will not be calling students out of the testing each day, as it disrupts the environment and our students.
Again, thank you for partnering with us!

IF Your Child Is Absent...
Please be sure to call into the office or email Jenene Hill at hill.jenene@westada.org if your child is out absent.
If your child has an appointment, please be sure to get a verification form from the provider to allow the school to change the coding for attendance. If your child has a standing appointment weekly/monthly, you can get the letter from the provider for the length of time to share with the office to allow for proper coding.
*Per district policy, an unverified absence will convert to truancy unless verbal communication is received from a parent/guardian within 48 hours (counts against attendance standard).
Thank you for helping us maintain accuracy and account for all students.
